Our shipped semen program is one of the most "mare owner friendly" in the industry. We do not charge collection fees, container deposits or chute fees. The first shipment of semen (if sent via overnight UPS) is paid by us. In order to keep our charges to our customers at a minimum we ask for everyone’s cooperation in promptly returning our equitainers to us.

1. Semen should be ordered by telephone at (410) 754-9566 and not by FAX or email. During breeding season we may not check our email or FAX machine prior to our shipping deadline. Our voice mail is checked regularly throughout the morning.

2. The first shipment of semen will be shipped at no charge if sent via overnight carrier. 2^nd Shipments, if needed, are billed at $175.00 per shipment. Shipments sent counter-to-counter airline (same day service) by US Air are billed at $225.00. Semen sent by airlines other than US Air is billed at $250 per shipment.

3. Shipping charges are the responsibility of the mare owner and must be paid prior to each shipment. For your convenience we do accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover.

4. In order for us to better plan for anticipated shipments, please contact us when your mare first comes in heat so that we can estimate when you may need a shipment. Frequent updates of your mare’s progress in her cycle are greatly appreciated.

5. Orders for semen MUST be made NO LATER THAN 9:30 a.m. EST the day a shipment is required to be sent. Please note that we start collecting at 9:30 a.m. and calls received later than 9:30 a.m. may not be processed.

6. Mare Owner must pay the stallion fee and shipping fees (when applicable) in full prior to shipments being sent.

7. No container deposit is required, but our containers must be immediately returned via overnight delivery the day your mare is last inseminated. Please see your contract for penalty fees in the event an equitainer is not returned promptly. Overnight US Mail is often less expensive than the overnight service of other carriers.

8. We try to send enough semen for two inseminations per shipment. There is a slight possibility on some collection days that due to the number of mares being bred to a given stallion we may only be able to ship enough for one insemination. We have found this to be rare in past breeding seasons.

9. We are capable of shipping semen 7 days per week. However, if a weekend shipment is required, it will be necessary to notify us the night before. (I.e. If a Sunday delivery is required, we must be notified by 5:00 Saturday evening.)

10. The insemination report provided with the semen must be completed. Stallion owner’s copy is to be returned with the equitainer (taped in an envelope on the outside) and APHA’s copy must be mailed to APHA within 10 days. Please do not put insemination report inside equitainer as it can become damp & illegible.

11. Please ensure that you can receive SATURDAY delivery via UPS by calling 1-800-PICK-UPS or FedEx by calling 1-800-GO-FEDEX prior to ordering semen. This avoids last minute delays when ordering semen on Fridays.
